After Sinus Exposure
- Do not rinse the mouth until the following morning.
- Hold the gauze pack in place over the extraction site for 2 hours.
- Take the prescriptions as directed.
- Refrain from blowing your nose for 10 days.
- If you feel a sneeze coming, open your mouth (thus avoiding pressure in the sinus.
- Avoid smoking for 48 hours.
- Don not use a straw or smoke a pipe for 10 days.
- No swimming or heavy lifting for 10 days.
- Eat soft foods for several days, chewing on the opposite side as much as possible.
- Slight bleeding from the nose may occur for several days.
- Give the teeth their normal brushing and care.
